Important information
All permanent cosmetic procedures are a multi-session process. You will need a touch up appointment 6 - 8 weeks after your first one.
Be prepared for the color intensity after the procedure to be darker 30-40% than the expected final outcome. This transition will take time, based on how quickly your skin exfoliates, about 5-7 days.
While these injected tones may initially simulate the exact color and tone desired, it will not always remain a perfect match. Implanted tones are constant, but your skin tones vary.
Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly, it is recommended not to make any social plans for a day or two following any procedure.
Before you book your appointment
If you are under a doctor’s care for any reason please inform me before scheduling your procedure
You must be off Accutane or any prescribed acne medication for 1 year before any permanent cosmetic procedure because it changes the integrity of your skin. No exceptions.
Discontinue the use of any anti-aging, skin brightening skincare products. Particularly those that contain Alpha Hydroxy (AHA), Vitamin A, Retinol. Do not use these products for 30 days prior to your appointment, otherwise your cosmetic tattoo may heal patchy. Once your tattoo has healed (approximately 6 weeks following your final session) you may resume your usual skin care routine.
Please do NOT take any blood thinners, aspirin, green tea, fish oil, ibuprofen, vitamin E, vitamin A or any Herbs unless medically necessary, for 3 days prior to your procedure.
Avoid alcohol, coffee and energizing drinks at least 24 hours before the procedure.
If you are pregnant of breastfeeding, you’ll have to wait until you are not, to be eligible for any procedure.
If you are undergoing any cancer treatment, you must wait until your treatment is complete. It is recommended to get your doctors approval before any permanent makeup procedure.
Unfortunately, if you are prone to keloid scarring, cosmetic tattooing is not for you.
Eyeliner procedure
Please do not wear contact lenses during or immediately following the eyeliner procedure. Please remember to bring your glasses the day of your procedure.
It is recommended that you do not use Latisse (or any other lash growth enhancement product) for at least 1 month prior and 1 month after the procedure.
If you have Glaucoma, you are not a good candidate for eyeliner.
Any type of eye disorder (sty, blephartis, etc) must be clear 2 weeks prior to procedure.
If you have had any kind of eye surgery or have plans for any kind of eye surgery, please us prior to procedure.
Lash extensions have to be removed completely 2 weeks prior to having eyeliner procedure to ensure lash glue in not on the eyelid. You must wait 1 month after the procedure to have lash extensions applied.
Lipliner/Full Lipcolor
If you EVER had cold sores (herpes simplex), shingles or chicken pox, please call your doctor or dermatologist and request a prescription for an antiviral medication at least 3 days prior to a lip procedure. The stimulation from the needle can bring out cold sores and that can make the healing process much worse.
Lip implants are contraindicated.
If you are considering lip fillers, it would be best to have your lips tattooed first and your fillers injected later, 6 weeks after the procedure. If you get your fillers first, it will be difficult to determine your natural line. When the lips shrink and return to normal size, the lip line will be off.
You must wait at least 6 weeks after getting lip fillers. It is possible to have poor color retention, and if you have had Restylane there is the risk of pigment migration along the lip line.
Eyebrows procedure
Any eyebrow tinting should be done at least 3 days before the procedure or 2 weeks after the procedure.
Any tweezing, threading or waxing should be done before the procedure at least 3 days prior the procedure. Do not resume any method of hair removal for at least 2 weeks.
If you get Botox in the brow area, it is important to allow the effects to wear off before having brow micropigmentation. This is to prevent the eyebrows being created in a slightly higher or closer position. The best is to get permanent makeup first, then Botox.
